Comments from the 2005 Lost Soul Ultra!

Good Day;
I am back in Winnipeg and resting up before heading back to work!
I cant say enough how much I enjoyed the event and all the volunteers who help make it successfull. The LSU coarse is one that is very unique, it mimics life in so many ways, ever changing, never the same! If you show respect it will allow you to achieve your goals.
I wish I could have stayed around the at the breakfast but as it stood I made it just in time for my flight back home.
I really enjoyed meeting some of the other ultra runners and the event staff were First Class!
Thanks once again.
One last thing, when will the results be posted on the website for all to see?

A big THANK YOU and congratulations for putting on such a well organized race. This was my first ultra (50KM), and one of the things that made it so special for me was all the amazing people I met. Your volunteers were helpful, kind and incredibly efficient. Fellow runners were supportive and helpful but once again it comes back to the time and dedication you put into making this happen. Without you and your helpers I wouldn't have this amazing memory that will be with me the rest of my life. I look forward to seeing you again next year. As well just thought I would share a quote with you that I told myself repeatedly thru the race, it is from poet T.S. Elliot "only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go."
Once again thank you for creating an event that forces you to dig down deep and find the strength and will to succeed.

I ran in your race last weekend-my first "Lost Soul" and what a fantastic event. Your organization and volunteers were great. I did lose a pair of Asaics 2100 size 11 at headquarters. I left them beside my bag at about midnight and could not find them when I finished or with the bags at the breakfast.
If they show up please drop me a note and I will arrange to get them.
Thanks, Gary Glover

I would like to thank your organizational team for hosting a memory to remember. This was my 1st ultra and truly a humbling yet great experience. Up to this point I have been a marathoner however you win, I’m hooked. I didn’t know what I was missing. Guess what? I’m not a marathoner any more – I’m now an ultra trail runner, and have a whole new “list of things to do”.
Thank you once again-Brett White – St Albert

Had a ton of fun running the lost soul 50km race last weekend. Fun course, great volunteers, nice jackets and of course the rock is a great finishers award. I hope to come back next year for one of the 100s.
One note on the results, you have myself (Joe Huising) coming in 3rd in the 50km but I actually came in behind Robert Krushel. Not that it will change anything but he deserves the third. Are you going to post the splits for the aid stations? I can imagine this is a ton of work but I’m a data junkie and would appreciate it. If not no biggie, I’m sure you’d rather be getting out for a run.
Again thanks!
Joe Huising

Dave,
I just wanted to thank you and the rest of the crew that put on a great lost soul! It was the first Ultra that me and my mom had ever done and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are recruiting others for next year.
Thank you
Bruce and Ramona Stewart

Thanks Dave, I really enjoyed the race, you have a really great group of volunteers. It was definitely a lot tougher than I had anticipated....those hills were relentless! I was just very happy to cross the finish line! We really wish that we could have stayed for the awards ceremony but our 6, 4 & 1 year old were quite anxious for us to get home....and it was a long, long drive.
See you next year,
Nicki
