Comments from the 2009 race

I'd just like to say thanks to you and all the staff and volunteers for putting on such a great weekend for us runners. I hope you got as much fun and excitement out of it as I did.
I'm spreading the word on this end about the event and hopefully next year it will be a little group heading your way.

On another note I'd like to inquire about my rock. I talked to a fellow at the finish explaining that I had to head east immediately and he said to use the contact email on the site.
I can either have a friend pick it up or if you wanted you could send it c.o.d to Winnipeg. I only mention this because I happen to be working on the new airport which is right beside the bus depot. Either way is fine though.

Anyways , thanks again for the memories and a tough course. I have a better idea of what to expect now and although I have ran 11 -100's this one was far different from any others. Man is that a crazy dry heat:)

Hey there,  Just a little note to tell you what a great time I had at your race (Dawna #145).  Your aid station people are unbelievable and all the food my god awesome.  I unfortunately had to leave on Saturday so was unable to attend on sunday to receive my rock and any prizes I may have won (if any hehe) .  I was hoping we could make arrangements to have it sent.  Thanks again I will be back next year.  Dawna Parker Jodoin

The race was amazing and your organization was superb.  The food and the aids stations was
something else and the volunteers rocked.

I want to make a special note about how well you guys mark the course. I can not imagine
the amount of work you put into it.  I talked to two gentlemen at my HQ stop. They asked
me about markings way out from Pavan , I said they were pretty good , but someone might
get confused for a few seconds or in the dark. Those buggers went out and made it idiot proof!
So I had no problems the second time around!!

I had to leave on Saturday after the 100k race.  Can you let me know how I can go about getting
my rock.

Thanks again, see you next year, maybe 100 miles

Michael

Rod- Marc-Dave-Terry: Just a quick note to let all of you know how much I enjoyed this past weekend.

From start to finish everything was great. Your aid stations and volunteers where there to help before I clocked in and made sure that I had everything I asked for. Course marking was very easy to follow.

Awards and breakfast also was a fun time. Nice to talk to runners that I have not seen in awhile and hear there stories about  of the course.

It was nice to run again with my daughter and son-in-law and in my mind I have a plan to run with my Grand-kid's and hope that we can do a ultra together.

Once again THANK'S FOR YOUR HARD WORK AND DEDICATION TO RUNNING!!!!!
Hey Rod

Thankyou for organizing such a great race, and great caring volunteers!.  The course is unbelievable. Thanks for the lift back to Pavan, I was disappointed to not make the aid station cutoff and be able to finish - but I understand completely and it was such a great learning experience, and makes me want to do it again next year even more!!

Dear RD's (I understand they are a few)
Thank you so much, THANK YOU SO MUCH for a great race.  I ran the 50 km in an insane slow time as heat
is not my thing, but thanks to the fabulous aid stations, organized and energized by amazing people, I made it with
neck wrapped in ice, hat full of ice (a nose bleeding for a long time) fed with the best fresh watermelons,
oranges, cold drinks, etc.... and O the POPSICLES!  Anyway, all those people contributed to my health during
my snail pace and finish.
I found the course beautiful and challenging (in the heat that's it).
I was sorry to miss the breakfast as after the race I had to drive back to Waterton and work Sunday morning
at 8:30.  I would have love to thank so many people.  Please relay all my gratitude to everyone.  They knew exactly what to do, what
to give us, to tell us.  They were professional, kind, positive, they were THE BEST. I go to many races and
this one (Lost Soul) has to be on the top 3 for its organization and fun.

Thank you all for your very hard work, every minute was appreciated and enjoyed.

Epic.  Hard.  Fun.

Thank you so much for such a great experience!  My first 100 miler could not have been better :)  So well organized, supported and flagged.  Many thanks to all the volunteers and the crazy race directors - you guys most certainly know what you are doing!  From the jacket giveaway to the really cool age group awards, to the yummy wrap up breakfast and the personalized engraved rocks, there is not a detail overlooked.  I've finally completed my "collection" of rocks but don't let that make you think I won't be back for more next year!  Great job everyone!!!  Carmen
