WWC (wet weather course) yuk
Hello ultra runners. We have had an exceptionally wet summer. Please review the wet weather description and map in case we need to use it to start the race or go to the WWC during the race. Let's all hope the southern Alberta sun will be causing massive dehydration and agony for us all (go sun).
ATTENTION WOMEN ULTRA RUNNERS : U of L Department of Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology Lab, Dr. J.L. Copeland is once again looking for your help to gather data on the effects of ultra‐endurance competition on hormone levels and neuromuscular function specifically in women. Where
Does your Money go?
It
has always been the goal of the race directors of the LSU to
provide a high quality race at a reasonable cost to racers.
This includes the "famous rock", a jacket, a photo,
awards, breakfast and of course the great aide stations along
the route. We thought it would be a good idea to let you know
how your race entry money is spent. Following is a breakdown
of where the dollars went based on one entry fee:
Rock
$40.00
Tech Clothing $40.00
Breakfast $13.00
Rentals $17.00
Aid Station $10.00
Volunteer shirts $5.00
Prizes $5.00
Photo $6.00
Misc. Expenses $4.00
Total per Racer $140.00
We
will continue to work to maintain the tradition of this great
race at a reasonable cost.

Land - north of Pavan
Please
refrain from running on the course north of Pavan Park. The
LSU course travels through private land, we have permission
to cross during the race, but we don't any other time. We would hate to lose the privilege. Thanks RD. Entry
fees are non-refundable, but if you cancel before midnight on
August 10th we will give you half of your entry fee back. Any
time after this date the fee is 100% non-refundable. |
